Parallel Bookstore
The team at Parallel are Pathfinders—ready to help you start or continue your journey into the world of speculative literature. Chat with us, poke about our shelves, or take a look at our collection of curated objects chosen to deliver maximum creativity, self-expression, and joy.
Parallel Coffee House
Enjoy an environmentally responsible, delicious kawhe and snack with your next favourite pukapuka. Our coffee house is a welcoming and inclusive alternative for folks of any age who want to connect in an alcohol-free space.
A delicious brew (that’s environmentally responsible, too)
At Parallel, we brew our single-origin beans from local Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland-based Kokako Organic Coffee Roasters in a variety of ways to carefully coax out their complex flavours.
We exclusively offer soft-brew kawhe (no espresso machine required) that tastes great on its own or with one of our plant-based milks.
Plant-based milks you say? Yep, we are 100% dairy-free to reduce our enviro impact. We promise your kawhe will still be yummy as without the dairy.
We recommend trying our soft brew on its own (even if you’ve never been a fan of black kawhe). We reckon you’ll be surprised by just how good it can be!
We are also single-use cup free (and have been since day one!) with convenient reusable cup rentals brought to you by Again Again.
Not big on coffee? We offer a range of not coffee too.
Try our flavour-packed Italian Sodas made with Little Pip's fresh fruit syrups.
Our not coffee range is expanding! Is there something yummy you'd love for us offer? Get in touch.

We’re also happy to kōrero (discuss) with you about how we can make your visit as safe and comfortable as possible.
You can email us at accessiblity@parallelaotearoa.nz about anything and everything accessibility-related, we’re here to help!
