Parallel Homebase

Your Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland bookstore and coffee house

Visit Parallel's Home Base and enter a Parallel world

Let us introduce you to your next favourite pukapuka (books), connect you to our community of in-betweeners, or make you a delicious kawhe (coffee).

A good bookshop is just a genteel Black Hole that knows how to read.

Parallel Coffee House

A delicious brew (that’s environmentally responsible, too)

At Parallel, we brew our single-origin beans from local Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland-based Kokako Organic Coffee Roasters in a variety of ways to carefully coax out their complex flavours.

We exclusively offer soft-brew kawhe (no espresso machine required) that tastes great on its own or with one of our plant-based milks.

Plant-based milks you say? Yep, we are 100% dairy-free to reduce our enviro impact. We promise your kawhe will still be yummy as without the dairy.

We recommend trying our soft brew on its own (even if you’ve never been a fan of black kawhe). We reckon you’ll be surprised by just how good it can be!

We are also single-use cup free (and have been since day one!) with convenient reusable cup rentals brought to you by Again Again.

Not big on coffee? We offer a range of not coffee too.

Try our flavour-packed Italian Sodas made with Little Pip's fresh fruit syrups.

Our not coffee range is expanding! Is there something yummy you'd love for us offer? Get in touch.
